Hey there, I’m Eva the heart behind HouseWithEva.com

To be honest, I never intended to start a design blog. I was that friend who always arranged cozy corners for tea and books, and started taking photos of my little garden experiments just for fun. Then slowly, I noticed people asking, “Wait where did you get that pillow?” or “How did you get that plant to thrive indoors?” And I thought, okay, maybe I’m onto something.

I remember the moment it clicked: I was sitting in my living room one late evening, half‑reading a design book, half‑watching my vines climb the window… and I thought, “Why not share how real people (like me!) actually live, dream, and sometimes fail at nailing décor?” So HouseWithEva was born not as a polished magazine, but as a friend‑to‑friend chat on how to make our homes feel like ours.

I’m no expert I mess up paint colors, I’ve (literally) planted seeds in the wrong season, and I’m still figuring out the perfect layout for small spaces. But that’s okay. My joy is in trying, sharing that process, and saying: if I can figure this out, so can you.

So whether you’re rearranging a tiny living room, cultivating a tiny herb patch, or just hunting for design ideas that feel warm and personal welcome. Pull up a chair (maybe with a throw over it), and let’s figure this out together.

The Team

alex
alex has this calm energy like your favorite neighbor who always knows which plant survives the heat. He shares seasonal gardening tips and reminds us not to overthink it. “Plants want to live,” he always says.
Jonas
Jonas is our go-to for room layouts and flow. He’s lowkey obsessed with where furniture should go and why your couch makes your space feel weird. Also, he’s the one who wired our whole blog from scratch.
olivia
can turn a cramped apartment into a sanctuary with just throw pillows and a smart mirror. She has an eye for bold colors, loves mismatched chairs, and always finds beauty in imperfect things.
